E-Learning: Where Have We Been and What's Our Future?

Over the years we all have been "exposed" to a variety of technology, media formats and instructional trends. Let us spend a few minutes revisiting those yesterday concepts and ideas in the hopes they might give us a glimpse into our future.

 

Dr. Mike Rogers has been involved in the field of instructional design since 1973 with experience in such varied environments as the military, education, small business and large corporations. He received his BA and MA from Auburn University and his doctorate from Georgia State University. Dr. Rogers has worked for Advanced Learning Technologies since 1999 with direct involvement in the collaborative development of e-learning programs and courses for eCore and other system wide online degree programs. Through these development efforts and prior experience, he has acquired a high level of expertise in e-learning issues such as pedagogy, course design, faculty training, evaluation and assessment, e-learning team design (different players and their roles), and e-learning management. He recently has taught public speaking in the online environment as an adjunct instructor for Georgia Perimeter College.
